The Women Nationally Active for Christ (WNAC) of North Carolina have chosen "Ready! Set Your Hearts!! GO!!" as the theme for 2006-2007. Their projects for this year are as follows:
- Foreign Missions - To participate in planting churches in Central Asia. The goal is set to start 7,000 churches and the amount needed for each church is $10,300.00. The WNAC of NC has pledged to raise enough money for one church.
- College Goal - Our college goal is $2,500.00 which will be divided between FWBB College and Southeastern. FWBB College needs money to buy china for special occasions, and Southeastern needs money for a new hot bar in the cafeteria.
Our last project is called our "Special Emphasis Offering" and we have two of them.
- To purchase a Palm Pilot computer and inventory software to update inventory and manage products in the Bible Book Store in Durham. The cost for this equipment is $1,000.00. Also, assistance towards the recent purchase of a copier at a cost of $700.00.
- To assist Rev. Bob Edmondson, pastor of the Glad Tidings FWB church in Asheboro, NC to help pay off their indebtedness to enable them to go self-supporting.
The Grifton WAC are planning to have Wednesday night suppers during the months of November, December, January and possibly February to help raise monies for these projects. So far we have decided on a soup and sandwiches supper, a good hot chili supper, and a beans and sausage supper. If anyone has any suggestions, we would be happy to hear from you. We hope to get started on these suppers as soon as we finish with the Fall Festival.
